Dear Dr. Halevi,
I have a patient suffering from nocturnal emission for two years. Can you suggest what points can be used in order to cure this problem?

Well, main points are usually B-23, Du-4, Ren-4, Ren-6 and Sp-6. Still, you need to make a proper differentiation and utilize other points accordingly. Just to give you a hint for the more common differentiation in this case, when the emissions occur accompanied by sexual dreams, this usually means K.Yin Xu and H.empty Fire. In such a case you need to consolidate the K. Yin and also balance the heart. When the emissions occur without any significant dreaming, it usually indicates a K. problem proper. Then, tonify K. Yin or Yang according to the diagnosis. Sometimes even the liver is involved, giving a more intricate signs/symptoms picture. This usually happens when K. yin is insufficient, leading to liver fire. Liver fire may deplete H. Yin and blood which in turn further depletes the kidneys. In such cases points that restrain liver fire must be added too.
