i have a cyst growing in the right iliac joint. is this a very uncommon thing? there is lots of info about ovarian and mammary cysts on the net but nothing on the joint cyst. would appreciate any info/remedies. i have tried burning moxa over the area with and without needle and also with slice of ginger, but not much relief. any points that would help shrink it?

Dear Darius, apologies for the late reply. There is only one needle technique that can resolve this problem, and most of the acupuncturists are unfamiliar with this technique. If you have an acupuncturist that you rely on, and if he/she is an experienced acupuncturist, let him get in touch with me and I shall gladly guide him through this process. A beginner practitioner can not do this.

many many thanx Dr halevi. i told my acuncturist about it and he'll conotact you through your email. he is a sharp physician who started studying acupuncture 15 years ago in mexico and in china, he has practiced it for at least 10 years, though he combines it with regular medical practice when necessary.
he has been treating me for both the cyst in my thigh joint and for the low back problem i had written to you about earlier (i discovered him after that). i have made some improvements but it is very slow, as some pains fade a bit, new pains crop up. perhaps your kind suggestions to him for both conditions could speeden up the process as i believe in your expertise and experience (just read your article about "the astringent quality of Du 20", very fascinating!
sincerly, and gratefully, darius

ps, the x-ray showed the lumbar curve to be abnormally little which has mad the 5th lumbar verteb pressed closer to the sacral table, (which does have a normal curve), pinching the nerves. there was no surface pain before but recently the area over all the 5 vertebs is sore and painful.
