Hi there! I wonder if there would be any good acu point combi for the Amiotrophic Lateral Sclerosis disease (Lou Gehrig’s disease)? my patient was diagnosed with it one year ago, with not much perspective of academ. med. cure...thanks! |

There is no such combination. The treatment must be initiated at a very early stage, as close as possible to the appearance of the first symptoms. It falls within the realm of the Chinese Wei syndrome and points must be chosen to regulate the blood and tonify the Qi, along with classical Wei syndrome herbal treatment. Even so the prognosis is not very cheerful. Pattern discrimination, as always, is of prime importance in determining the choice of points and the type and amplitude of needle manipulation. |
