I have a condition called hidradenitis. I get the boils in my armpits. They come and then they go. I have several pits as a result of the recurring boils.

I also have acne. My skin gets very oily and i have dark spots, large pores and pimples(not that bad).

I am also overweight. I am 5/6 and weigh 189. I currently workout.

Do you think colon hydrothearpy and accupuncture can help with hidradenitis, acne, and weight.

Acupuncture can be very effective for the hidradenitis suppurativa condition. Colonic irrigation, won't help much for all of these problems. Acupuncture + herbs + appropriate dietary changes can be very effective for the acne condition, but may take sometimes a long time for treatment.
You may read this article about the acne condition, just to have an idea about the use of acupuncture in this problem: http://acumedico.com/acne.htm

I was scheduled to have my colon cleansed today. Do you think that this is a good procedure to go through or do you think its just pointless.

The reason I wanted to get this procedure done is because I hear that it cleans out your colon-which can be backed up with a lot of nasty stuff that never came out of you. I also heard that it would clean out the toxins in your body which can be causing acne.

I think it is pointless. However, I do recommend having once in a while a simple and gentle enema in the way described under this thread;

Chinese herbs that are formulated by a practitioner of Chinese medicine, after a specific diagnosis made for you, according to Chinese medicine principles of diagnosis. Taking herbs otherwise, will not bring about a cure.

You might want to check out this website:
http://www.users.bigpond.com/c.kirk/index.html

It gives the best homoeopathic remedies for the treatment of Acne and there should be enough info there to allow you to make some decisions for yourself but if not, then there is an active email link to the author.

Sorry to hear it was confusing.
Start with your symptoms(the partricular).
Search using Ctr+F if you come up with something useful good.

This will lead hopefully to a remedy that expresses the totality of your symptoms (the general).

This is an acupuncture website so I should restrict my answers to acupuncture.

This same inductive reasoning is used in 5 element acupuncture (that's my excues) so I have to ask shmeul for his indulgence of my exuberance.

The answer to your question is yes.

Would you recommend any of the following for cleaning out your colon properly?
Psyllium Husk
Bentonite Clay
Super Greens

How do you feel about NAD Therapy? I have been reading about it seems like a good system for curing different ailments.

Geraldine,

To be fair. The website I've used needs to be able to find symptoms using medical terms. I'm familliar with medical terms. For instance if I do a search on axilla (armpit) the closest remedy that makes sense is Hepar sul. That's a really good pointer.
