My daughter is a sarcoma patient. She has had a "sternumectomy" in February of this year and last week had a tumor removed from her spine. he sternum surgery, as yo u know, required a great deal of plastic surgery. Her problem is that she has had a feeling of numbness on the right side of chin. She has had this numbness for a number of months and it was investigated by her neuro-surgeon, her thorasic surgeon, her oral surgeon who did a peripheral head and neck x-ray,her regular dentist and also her plastic surgeon, none of whom can find any sign of abnormality. She feels that this numbness must have been caused by the very extensive plastic surgery , part of which is seemingly very close to the numb site of her chin. Her last hope is using the services of a very skilled acupuncturist and we hope, if you feel that it might help, that you can refer us to the proper doctor. Thank you.

Mr. Anonymous, you haven't mentioned where you live so how can I recommend a practitioner?
In any event, I doubt if I can refer you to anyone at all. I definitely recommend acupuncture for the treatment of your daughter's problem and I suggest that you look for an experienced acupuncturist in the area where you live. If you will have questions while she's on the course of treatment, you are welcome to post them here.
