Dear Dr Halevy
Shalom,
Could you help us understanding this problem?
My son and his girl-friend started a very high fever about two weeks ago, and can't really get rid of it.
suspected common source: suspicious chicken
and symptoms:
1-my son: 2 weeks'fever, by now. he had no direct reaction after the chicken meal, except strong sneezing.
then he developed a high fever+strepthroat after being caught in a strong typhoon rain (the next day). At first his fever has been generalized(all day) he took normal medicine for strepthroat. seems over .BUT
he still has night fever , starting about 10pm, and difficulty in sleeping. He complains about some slight heart pains too, and overwhelming evening fatigue.
2-his friend: 1 week fever, seems to be over. developped a very high fever . slight belly ache for 2 or 3 days, no diarrhea. Hospitalized, doctors could not find out "anything special".
Chicken flu? something in the air ? (lot of people have recently developed high fever without any reason round here) Anyway TCM does not care much about sources but how to repair the unbalance state of energies, isn't it ?
Looking forward to some hint and good advice
Regards, Ann

In first glance, looks like a simple flu, probably related to the weather and not the chicken... Still, flu symptoms may lodge in the stomach domain of energetical influence and then you have what we call a stomach flu. This kind of flu has most flu symptoms + stomach disturbances such as diarrhea, nausea, tummy ache, etc.
I can't gurrantee for this without being able to check them of course.
Let them rest, eat plenty of soup, tea and water, cooked vegetables, rice, etc. No meat and dairy stuff for a while. For throat symptoms, rhinitis, etc., please have alook at my homepage for further advice:
