Good day, I am looking for a herbal cough remedy and will appreciate any suggestions. I have this terrible cough (dr. says bronchitis) every winter and it lasts for weeks and weeks.
I have tried many cough syrups and pills but none seem to help. Please?

Acupuncture is the best modality to resolve any lingering, latent, chronic or acute cough, bronchitis etc. Acupuncture is far better than any modern medicine patent for cough and has a remarkable clinical success rate, when administered properly by a specialist. As for your question, I would recommend a herbal syrup which I have found to be also very effective, especially for the bronchitis type coughing. It is called: Sea-coconut cough mixture and is manufactured in Malaysia or Indonsaia. It may be found in most China town herbal shops in the USA and Canada.

Ive found that Pi Pa Lu or better yet Chuan Bei Pi Pa Gao is great for that type of cough. Often asian food stores carry some variety. Although if they try and tell you that "She Dan" Chuan Bei Pi Pa Gao is better, be aware that She Dan means snake gall bladder and it does contain that in a homeopathic or crude dosage. Chuan Bei is a type of herb and Pi Pa is loquat leaf. Gao just means a very thick syrup.
From my own experience, my then two year old son and I had a terrible bronchial cough that turned into croup in my son. I tried every over the counter western medicine cough syrup, and then tried taking straight out high dose codeine as I was desperate (the codeine worked but I was far too out of it, and it was affecting my son who was still breastfeeding), then my partner turned up with some Chuan Bei Pi Pa Gao and it worked better than anything. I use it all the time in my clinic.
