There are many forms of meditation Frank, as you must know, and even so everybody performs the same style of meditation differently. Tai Chi, at least as I practice it, synchronizes the fluid-circular movements of the body with the breathing. Being performed in such a slow motion it synchronizes the Yin movements with inhaling and the Yang movements with exhaling. Just the same as your other movements exhibit the Yin and Yang characteristics. These slow movements and breathing set in motion the Qi of the meridians and establishes proper circulation of blood end energy, energize the cells and open areas of stagnation. When you practice Tai Chi and you follow the rhythm of movement/breathing, and if you immerse yourself in this mechanism, this IS meditation. There is no need to also feel aloft and/or have other characteristics of sitting or other non-motion meditation forms.
