Can He Shou Wu (polygonum)be used for alopaecia due to blood deficiency? Also, what is the prognosis?

Of course it can. He Shou Wu tonifies the blood the liver and the kidneys. It is also indicated for premature greying of the hair. It is also a frequent component in herbal-based shampoos claiming to benefit the health of one's hair. The prognosis depends on variables such as the general health, the combination of other herbs in the formula beside the He Shou Wu, the duration of the alopecia condition and many more.
