Ovarian cyst is a problem associated parimarily with blood stasis in TCM. This may be due to poor blood circulation due to blood xu, or yang xu, or excessive heat in the blood, etc. The stabbing pain is definitely a symptom of blood stasis whereas the nausea is attributed to the involvement of the Chongmai in this pattern. Thus, it is very important to determine the background which allowed the blood stasis that has caused this cyst.
A simple formula to clear this blood stasis could be:
Li-4/ Sp-6/ Sp-10/ St-29/ Ren-3 = points in blue, unilateral puncturing.
Just remember that this is a symptomatic formula. Other points must be added according to your syndrome differentiation. E.g., for heat in the blood, add: Li-11/ B-40. For yang xu, add: B-23/ Ren-4/ Ren-6 with moxa... and so on.
There are more threads in this forum about this topic. You may run a search command from the upper right part of the main window for: cyst, ovaries, policystic ovaries, p.o.c and the like.

Hi,
There were no points in blue... everything was in black. Also, what do you
base the choice of side on in the unilateral needling?

Thank you.
P.T.

Wouldnt Sp-4 be perfect for cases like this as well? Being the Chong Mai opening point, and the Chong Mai having a powerful effect upon the xue mechanism, especially on females.

You are right Ricardo. Sp-4 could fit among the points that you'd be using to resolve the basic pattern of disharmony associated with this specific case.
