What is the best way to keep in touch with previous clients? Is postcards, newsletters, or e-mail the best way? Any input would be appreciated

I usually don't. I rely on the option that they'll call me whenever they are in need of my help again. Of course, if you are in the statistics business or wish to establish a standard followup system, you need to keep in touch with them. If this is the case, you'd better ask their permission to keep in touch with them once they have concluded the treatment. |

Thanks for your input. I have also heard from a lot of acupuncturists that they use e-mail to keep in touch with clients which can save a lot of time. One way to do this easily is through an automatic e-mail system to your clients that will send it once a month or whenever you want to all your contacts. It will send them useful information and is a friendly reminder your there. This is a feature the website design company I'm working with has. Hi there from sunny Australia
I use A5 sized flyers hand delivered to every mailbox in the immediate area
(12,000 homes in a 5 Km radius.)
I write and print them and have a buddy guillotine them in exchange for a
bottle of red.
Costs $35.00 per 1000 to deliver
I get on average 1 per 1000 new patients per week per week and put out a
1000 per week for 6 weeks then four weeks off, then do the rest.
2 drops a year
I have recently employed my lab rat (clinic helper,Richard) to put all my
last 3 years patients into 'Outlook" and have just mailed out 100 letters
(like a dentists letter, haven't seen you for 6 months etc come in and get
tuned up etc)
I'll let you know how it goes.
A buddy of mine mailed out 450 to old clients and got 17 responses
Then 2 weeks later he sent out another 450 to the SAME folks and got 15
more.
Cost him $450 for postage plus his C.A's time and $50 worth of paper
and envelopes.
$500 for a return of 32 times $50 minimum for the consult = $1600 and he
would see each of them about four to 6 times. Say by 4 = $6,400 minus the
$500 to do the exersize gives a pretty good profit wouldn't you say.
\By the way, the folks I trialled my letter were only too happy to receive
it because I gave them a new business card where by I clip the edge and
after each treatment and after 6 clips they get a free treatment. Also if
they refer a patient they get another clip...closer to their reward!

The more you put out, the more likely that they will remember you and come
back. Otherwise, they WILL go to someone else!
